Life as a student can get boring, in fact, if you want the gist of it, it can get VERY, VERY, V-E-R-Y boring! How does waking up at 6am every morning and dragging my feet to the bathroom to get changed into school uniform and then heading off to lessons in school sound?

Yes, very boring indeed.

But the perks of social networks such as Twitter and Facebook have helped to make my boring little life so much more enjoyable, and what used to be setting “Hotmail” as my homepage is so passe, Twitter and Facebook are the first networks I sign into everyday, and possibly the last tabs I close on the Internet as well. Social networking has become a daily routine for me ever since I got hooked to both Twitter and Facebook in 2008, as it has allowed me to “jot down” my little activities on the go with the introduction of mobile social networking.

My dream job has to be one that is far from the 9 - 5 office job, to me, a sit-down job just doesn’t fit my personality as I’m someone who needs space and freedom for creativity and a flow of ideas, which has to be why my interests lie in areas such as writing and music, as well as drawing sometimes when I get really really bored. Why I feel the internship under Standard Chartered will be cool for me? Well, it basically incorporates both my passion for creative energy AND my excessive love for social networking and updates on-the-go.

A cool internship for me is not about the money, but rather how much I enjoy myself learning throughout the process of it and the skills I pick up along the way :D Even if I don’t place in the top 10, I’d like to wish all the other Nuffies out there all the best!!
